When Martine's parents die in a house fire, she has to

move to her grandmother's house in Africa, her grandmother that she never met before.

However, Martine  discovers the magic animal from an ancient ledgend, the white giraffe.  But, the poachers want her new best friend, and they don't want it to escape.
